 16/07/2010 : 9-10.12.2010: Symposium 'Forensic Psychiatry in Europe: Current Issues'

 

In de tweede helft van 2010 neemt België het EU-voorzitterschap waar. Het onderwerp forensische psychiatrie werd mee opgenomen in de beleidsagenda en dat is meteen een primeur. In navolging van dit gegeven, organiseert het Kenniscentrum Forensisch Psychiatrische Zorg het symposium “Forensic Psychiatry in Europe”, wat later dit jaar zal plaatsvinden op 9 en 10 december in de landcommanderij te Alden Biesen.

Verschillende aspecten die tot het forensische werkdomein behoren worden in de vorm van plenaire lezingen en workshops toegelicht door specialisten ter zake: psychopathie, psychose, seksuele delinquentie, verslaving, verstandelijk beperking, protectieve factoren en behandelfaciliteiten.

During the second half of 2010, Belgium will be the presiding country of the European Community. For the first time ever, the subject of forensic psychiatry was included as a policy issue. On this occasion, the Knowledge Centre Forensic Psychiatric Care organises the two day conference “Forensic Psychiatry in Europe”, which will take place later this year, December, 9th and 10^th at Alden Biesen, Belgium.

 

Different aspects of the forensic field will be the focus of lectures and workshops given by experts in that particular field: psychopathy, psychosis, sexual offending, addiction, intellectual disability, protective factors and treatment facilities.
